Polzeath Surf Report 8.00 nearly high water: A cloudy grey moody start to the day with no wind but the temperature just above freezing. The waves are nicely formed but very small, at about knee maybe almost waist high on the sets you’d need to be riding a longboard or wide short board to get the best out of the conditions on offer this morning. The weather is going to turn nasty later on with every chance of rain, sleet and even snow falling as we come towards low tide at 3.00pm. We are now going to be in the grip of a cold weather system with the wind blowing predominantly from the East or South East for the next few days, so at least the wave faces will be clean even if the temperature is very low if we get some nice swell there’s every chance of some classic winter surf conditions. I will be around the workshop this morning between 10.30 and 12.00 so drop in or call 01208 863962.
