The Advantages of Surfing through the Winter PDF Print E-mail
Written by Administrator

The main consensus on this winter is that 'It's been a long cold winter' ; for us surfers in Polzeath it's been one of best that some of us can remember for consistent waves and offshore winds.  However as far a winters go the numbers of surfers in the sea have been lower than past years.  Talking to others it seems that those of us who have been braving the cold have also never enjoyed so many empty sessions as we have of recent times.

Shot taken on my 5'8" Wingnut Escape Surfboard

The weather forecast for next 10 days it seems to set for more cold weather; So many surfers who normally return to the water at this time of year may be postponing their return but with the swell forecast looking good and offshore winds predicted the rewards for those who do get in should be good.  And you never know the sun may just decide to make an appearance at some point.

Here's a short video from a day in February at Polzeath.  With only myself and Matt Sutherland out.  Who incidentally has spent the whole winter surfing without a cap on !!!

The Wingnut PDF Print E-mail

This model has a  Convert fin set up for maximum versatility. Ride   as   a twin ,thruster ,quad or 5 fin add to that all the different size fins its endless. The Wingnut is gonna pick up on loads of waves and make small wave surfing fun. It has lots of foam to it and   keeps the width   through the board until its drawn in with the double wing. The wings just pull   in the tail so it will have a bit more performance and hold. This board like the   Peanut   will still keep going even in mushy waves floating you through flat spots   and weak sections. It's a fantastic board for intermediate surfers looking to   step straight from a first board to something short, maneuverable and responsive. Also for an experienced surfer looking for a fun skatie board that finned right can also hammer it down the line in bigger conditions.

This board comes with a set of FCS M thruster fins and a set of sides to quad it. Fin upgrades available just call or email. Its a compact fun board that will surprise you and keep you keen.

New 7-2 'Wave Therapy' PDF Print E-mail
Written by Bill Atlee

New 'Wave Therapy'  this one is 7-2 x 23" x 3" but could be made up to 7-6 and down to 6-2.  Based on the new concept of straight wide outlines to get as much surface area and volume as short as possible.  We are going to make this with the quads (SF4's) and single fin box so you can play with the fin set up.  Features flat rocker single to double concave 60:40 rails (very soft in the middle).  We like the split colour idea and are thinking of yellow nose light blue tail, Blue and light blue, orange and yellow etc as you want, either in spray or tint.. gloss or satin resin finish..
