Allannnah's 1st week of her 17 month trip:
First stop Sri Lanka

Im down here at Hikkaduwa and the weather hasnt been too hot (thank god!) nice and overcast just how i like it! the waves have started off consitant which has been sick and it has been 2-3ft most days there are 2 main peaks both which have been breaking onto pretty shallow reefs which has been a laugh if im honest so iv already gathered some nice sea ulcers...the past two days have been pretty stormy and yesterday we were lucky enough to have some 4-5ft faces push threw which was good but its soon got crowded but at least i managed to give my new 6'0 pintail a go (my gun) which allowed me to have a steady take off and a super steady bottom turn but still remained loose and it paddled really well so im super excited for some bigger swells to come threw :)
Turtles so many turtles! everytime you go out in the water i see at least 11 and some are pretty big which is a bit scary as i wouldnt wanna run over any mainly because i have 2 new boards but i think i would cry for a good week if i killed a turtle i love them i even named one of them 'Ian'
In the night time theres not much to do, apart from eat lots of tasty food like rice and curry yum yum... but on Fridays its Arrack Attack time which is a super strong nice spirit which makes you happy when you drink lots of it and just over from where we are staying is a club callled Vibrations which has a trampoline and table tennis inside which is amazing but also bad... if you know what i mean. Theres also a massive tree inside that expands across the club which acts as a roof to keep out rain, the locals also put on a pretty good bongo show which is pretty sick to watch.
